Hot Areas to Watch: Development Energizes Two Toronto Neighbourhoods

Where Leslie Street meets Eglinton Ave or where Yonge Street meets Bloor, development will energize two Toronto neighborhoods.

Leslie Street & Eglinton Avenue

Nestled up against Leaside and Bayview Avenue, this pocket is known for its scenic parks and many recreational attractions.

As commuters look to take advantage of all the neighborhood has to offer, the city has introduced a major transit project set to debut in 2021. Eglinton Crosstown LRT will run along-side of the bourgeoning community and will cover 19-kilometres, stretching from Weston Road (Mount Dennis Station) to Kennedy Road. Along the route, TTC hubs will connect passengers to the Bloor-Danforth line and GO Transit terminals.

Currently underway, the Crosstown project is expected to be one of the largest transit expansions in the history of Toronto. With 25 conveniently located stations and stops, commuters will cross the city in half the current travel time.
