THE BUILDING
Neighbourhood Location
Downtown Oakville is a one-of-a-kind shopping and cultural
district known for its distinctive charm and small-town ambience.

The Building
The Chelsea offers only 24 exclusive boutique units in the heart
of downtown Oakville. Each unit comes with two parking spaces
as well as a storage locker. Amenities in the building include a
fitness centre, a bicycle storage room, a dog wash or ‘paw spa' for
owners to wash their best friend's paws before re-entering the
building, a party room complete with fully appointed kitchen,
and an entry lounge adjacent to the concierge desk.

Exterior
- Designed by Kirkor Architects and Planners, the exterior of the
building represents a synthesis of the surrounding buildings
varied for context, with building design elements creating a
classic and contemporary style.
- The exterior facade provides a new focus element to this residential block, as its street proportion creates a sound urban wall of
built form, using decorative precast and symmetrical stepping
brick masonry walls.Varied vertical planes of the exterior utilize
combinations of colour and texture to dilute the overall building
mass along Randall and Navy Streets.
- Each elevation facing the street and inner building to the south
and east are uniquely designed in material and window fenestration to create an elegant and classic vision of interest for the
building. Varying in material, texture and careful use of layering
along the street, the elevations enhance visual interest of the
building by providing an active animation of light and shadow
cast on the building facade.
